The first annual type-in sponsored by the Renegade Writer Guild was held at the Davie County Public Library in Mocksville, NC to celebrate National Typewriter Day on 6/23/2017. It was a big success!

We had a great turnout as people dropped in throughout the day to type on vintage Underwoods, Royals, Remingtons, and Selectras. Five typewriters, two electrics and three manuals, greeted attendees. The children were fascinated by the machines and wrote some darling short stories.

Poet-in-Residence, Professor Ed Robson, was on hand to type personal poems. Beautiful Crane paper and envelopes were available for typing correspondence letters.
Can’t wait till 6/23/2017 to have another one!
