The Renegade Writers Guild closed out 2016 with a party hosted by one of the guild’s founding members, Stephanie Williams Dean. Guild members, as well as guest speakers from the past year, were on hand to applaud accomplishments and review plans for 2017.

During 2016, guild members published six historical family books and two fantasy novels. Fifty-six short stories and poems were published in the Davie County Enterprise Record. In addition, two guild members successfully completed NaNoWriMo. Without the education provided by guest speakers, like Ron Semple, Dan O’Sullivan, and Ed Robeson, the guild would not have come as far as they have.
